When Mrs. Daniela Quiroz and Mrs. Alba Rodriguez from San Roberto International School discovered the Global Cardboard Challenge, they decided to participate with their 8th grade classes.
During the month of September both of their classes started collecting cardboard from the Recycling Area installed in the school and also with the help of their families.
One of the groups started working on building monuments from the world that could help other student know the world and feel like they are traveling around the world.
Another group decided to focus only in different things that represent Mexico like piñatas and alebrijes.
The Recycling Department invited both classes to be part of the school’s Ecology Fair, that will take place on September 29th. The Ecology Fair is an event that invites the whole school during the day to visit the different expositions and also stakeholders of the school.

Inspired by the short film, ‘Caine’s Arcade,’ the Global Cardboard Challenge is an annual event presented by the Imagination Foundation that celebrates child creativity and the role communities can play in fostering it. This September, kids of all ages are invited to build anything they can dream up using cardboard, recycled materials and imagination. Then on Saturday, October 1st, 2016, a day that commemorates the flash mob that made Caine's day in the short film, communities come together and play!
